Type
Single Malt Whisky
Age
8 years
A single malt Scotch whisky of 8 years old, from a 1970s edition named Light Very Old. It is a clear, very pale straw in colour. The nose opens with kippery peat and a grainy sweetness, likened to toasted multigrain bread with clover honey. Briny salt, ripe pear, soft dried apricot and fresh-cut hay sit beneath. On the palate the smoke is heavy, like an extinguished campfire, with kippered fish, salt and iodine, pear candy, apple peel and a sticky malt sweetness. The finish is long, dry and ashy, with apple crumble, toasted almond and a last kick of cooking spices.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
