Cluny 5 Year Old is a blended Scotch whisky from the 1980s, produced by John E. McPherson & Sons Ltd. and bottled at 40% ABV. This bottling was made for the US market by Premium Imports of Bardstown. The Cluny name dates back to 1857.
The nose is honeyed, with apple, nutmeg and light vanilla, plus a faint musty note. The palate brings dried apricot, golden raisin and vanilla, then honey and nutmeg over a medicinal undertone. The finish is medium, with cinnamon, toasted oak and a faint medicinal spice.
