A 12-year-old blended Scotch whisky from the Johnnie Walker Black Label range, bottled at 40% ABV. This is an older bottling from the 1980s, carrying the Extra Special designation. The blend draws on more than 40 whiskies from across Scotland. Black Label has its roots in 1906, when John Walker & Sons of Kilmarnock relaunched three earlier blends as White, Red and Black Label, with Black as the 12-year-old. Tasting notes describe white pepper, winter spice and a hint of citrus on the nose. The palate offers woodsmoke, cereal, creamy toffee and herbal sweetness, and the finish is long with sultanas, citrus and smoke.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
