This is a commemorative American whiskey marking 40 years of service, a tribute to the 1st Special Forces Group (Airborne). It is the 8th Edition, with a "First in Asia" theme on the neck and front label. Bottled in the USA at 46% ABV, or 92 proof, in a 75cl bottle, it has a warm amber colour.
The nose is warm, with caramel, vanilla, light oak and gentle baking spice. The palate is smooth and rounded, with sweet grain, caramel, soft oak, honeyed warmth and mild spice. The finish is clean and warming, with oak, vanilla and toasted sweetness.
