A barrel proof straight bourbon from 291 Colorado Whiskey, bottled at 63.5% ABV in a 750ml bottle. This is batch 2, with 702 bottles. It was matured for three years in deep-charred, new American white oak, making it one of the oldest whiskeys 291 has released to date.
The nose is led by stone fruits, namely apricot, nectarine and peach cobbler, with floral potpourri, herbal tea, mint, black pepper and a little cedar and aspen. The palate opens with stone fruit and mint, soft in texture despite the strength, then clove and black pepper arrive. The finish is lively, with apricot, aspen and floral notes.
