A.D. Laws Four Grain Bourbon is a bottled-in-bond bourbon from Denver, Colorado, bottled at 50% ABV (100 proof) in a 750ml bottle. It is the first bottled-in-bond bourbon from Colorado, made on site from heirloom grains grown on Colorado family farms.
The mash bill is 60% corn, 20% heirloom wheat, 10% heirloom rye and 10% heirloom malted barley. It was aged for six to seven years in new charred oak barrels in a bonded warehouse.
The nose is sweet and floral, with orange blossom, toffee, apricot jam, thyme and honey. The palate offers black tea, orange peel, cinnamon, brown butter and dates, and the finish is dry, with sandalwood, oak tannin and warming spice.
