Abasolo – El Whisky de México (70cl, 43%)

Abasolo is a Mexican whisky made at Destilería y Bodega Abasolo from 100% ancestral corn, which is nixtamalized before use. It is bottled at 43% in a 70cl bottle. Fermentation runs for 120 hours, followed by double distillation in a copper pot still, and the spirit is matured in oak casks. The nose is soft, with popcorn, vanilla and peach. On the palate come puffed corn, honey, black tea, leather and a touch of wood. The finish starts gently and ends with a kick of pepper.
