Aberfeldy 16 Year Old is a Highland single malt in a 70cl bottle, bottled at 40% ABV. It was matured for 16 years in a mix of refill and first-fill bourbon casks, then finished in Oloroso sherry butts.
The tasting notes describe a nose of warm caramel, spiced apple crumble and floral honey, with dried orange peel and polished oak. The palate brings toffee, dark berries, cinnamon and nutmeg alongside heather honey. The finish is long, warming and gently spiced, with a lingering sherry sweetness.
