This is an 11 year old single malt from Aberlour, matured in first-fill ex-bourbon barrels and released in 2022 at 49.4% ABV. It is an annual limited edition.
It is described as sweet, silky and smooth. The nose has soft red apples, vanilla custard, milk chocolate and sweet toasted oak. On the palate come apricot, peaches, lemon drizzle cake and plenty of honeyed sweetness with a touch of clove. The finish is smooth, sweet and fruity.
