Aberlour 12 Year Old Double Cask is a Speyside single malt matured in both bourbon and sherry casks. The double maturation gives it aromatic complexity, with sherry and bourbon flavours sitting together.
The distillery was chosen for its spring, whose water is filtered through the granite of Ben Rinnes.
The nose is round and soft with fruity notes. The palate brings cocoa, toffee and spice, and the finish is warm, powerful and slightly smoky.
