Aberlour 16 Year Old Double Cask is a Scotch single malt whisky, bottled at 43% in a 70cl bottle.
It is matured in two stages. The first is in traditional American oak, which adds vanilla and spice, and the whisky is then finished in Spanish sherry casks, which bring a rich, fruity, honeyed character.
The flavour is rich, with honeyed malt, raisin, walnut and dried fruit. The finish is long, with woody spice and the sweetness of sherry.
