Aberlour – 2006 Eldvatten (70cl, 49.3%)

This is a 2006 Aberlour single malt from Eldvatten, bottled at 49.3% abv in a 70cl bottle. Aberlour sits at the foot of Ben Rinnes, in the heart of Speyside. A distillery of that name existed as early as 1826, though the bottles give 1879 as the founding year. It was expanded to four stills in 1973 and has belonged to Pernod Ricard since 1974, run by its Scottish subsidiary Chivas Brothers.
