Adelphi Ardnamurchan 2018 Maclean and Bruce (70cl, 58%)

This is an Ardnamurchan single malt distilled in 2018 and bottled under the Adelphi Selection name in collaboration with the luxury travel company Maclean and Bruce. It is a limited release drawn from two sherry hogsheads, one peated and one unpeated, bottled at a cask strength of 58% in a 70cl bottle. The whisky is six years old, and all of those years were spent in first-fill sherry casks. Christmas cake and honey on the nose sit alongside bonfire smoke and balsamic notes from the peat. The palate has a full, warming character.
