This Adelphi bottling of Ben Nevis was distilled in 2013 and bottled in 2025 at 59.9%, after 11 years in cask 14, a refill Oloroso sherry butt. The cask gave 624 bottles, and the whisky is pale gold in colour.
The nose is buttered toast and tender caramel, with beef broth, salted popcorn and a light earthiness of wild mushrooms. The palate recalls an old tractor shed, Tizer soda bubbles, Cherry Garcia ice cream and butterscotch Angel Delight. The finish is medium in length, moving between sweetness and light saltiness, with a pleasing "dirty" edge.
