Adelphi Loyal Old Mature Private Stock (10cl, 40%)

Adelphi Loyal Old Mature Private Stock is a blended Scotch whisky bottled at 40% in a 10cl bottle. Adelphi makes it in batches and does not empty the blending tun completely each time, so each batch mixes with the one before it. The dancing figure on the label represents the Chancellor of the Exchequer, marking the end of a complicated whisky tax in the early 1850s. The nose has a gentle hint of smoke, light fruit and a little sherry further in. The palate is lightly smoky, with ripe pear sweetness, hints of nuttiness and a sea breeze note. The finish is long, sweet and oaky.
