A 10 year old Islay single malt from an undisclosed distillery, bottled by The Character of Islay Whisky Company at 46% in a 70cl bottle. The name is an anagram of 'Ten Year Old Islay'.
It was matured in a mix of ex-bourbon, sherry-seasoned and undisclosed casks, and bottled without chill filtration or added colour.
The nose is smoked sea salt, lemon peel, bonfire embers and a hint of iodine in honeyed vanilla. The palate brings barbecue smoke, toffee, grilled citrus and damp oak. The finish is long and smoky, with ash, charred herbs and a salty snap.
