Akashi Meisei Deluxe is a Japanese blended whisky from Eigashima Shuzo, bottled at 50% in a 50cl bottle. Malted barley makes up half of the blend.
It was matured in American oak and then given a further year in sherry casks. It is non-chill-filtered and free of added colouring.
The nose is soft and sweet, with honey, vanilla, chocolate, cinnamon and orange zest. The palate is smooth and balanced, with wood, dried fruit, spice and nuts. The finish is long and sweet with a note of sherry.
