Akashi Sherry Cask is a Japanese single malt released in 2020 to mark the 101st anniversary of the Eigashima distillery, also known as Akashi White Oak. It comes in a 50cl bottle.
The whisky is a sherry-matured vatting of malts distilled between 2009 and 2014, non-chill filtered and bottled at 50% ABV.
The notes describe cherries, incense, toffee apple and flambéed orange on the nose, cream sherry, orange candy, nutmeg and burnt toast on the palate, and a finish of sherry, roasted chestnuts and coffee beans with some oak dryness.
