This is a 10 year old single malt from the Akashi White Oak Distillery in Japan, matured in sherry casks. It is bottled at 50% ABV, in a 50cl bottle supplied in a box, and has a deep amber colour.
The nose offers raisins, prunes, dark chocolate and sweet spice. On the palate, malt sweetness meets caramelised fruit, cinnamon and clove, with woody and tobacco notes alongside. The finish is long and gently spicy.
