This is a five year old single malt from Akashi White Oak Distillery in Japan, matured in sherry casks. It is boxed and comes in a 50cl bottle, with a deep amber colour.
The nose ranges from dried fruit to sweet spice, with a light touch of vanilla and chocolate. On the palate, raisin, plum and gently toasted wood mingle with black pepper and cinnamon, and the texture is velvety, almost creamy. The finish is persistent and enveloping.
