Akashi Single Malt is a Japanese single malt from White Oak Distillery, bottled at 46% in a 50cl bottle. It is non-chill-filtered and has no added colouring.
The whisky is matured in a mix of bourbon and sherry casks, with some wine or Japanese oak casks as well. It is produced only at certain times of the year, in smaller batches.
The nose is light and fruity, with vanilla, floral notes, honey and fine spice. On the palate come apple, citrus, malt and vanilla, with gentle spice and soft oak. The finish is medium in length and soft, with fruit, vanilla and a little spice.
