Akashi Takumi Sherry Cask Finish (50cl, 40%)

A Japanese blended whisky from the White Oak Distillery, made from malt and grain whiskies that are matured first and then finished in sherry casks. It is bottled at 40% in a 50cl bottle, non-chill-filtered and without added colouring. Takumi is a Japanese word meaning master craftsmanship. The sherry finish adds depth, fruitiness and a gentle spiciness. The nose has dried fruit, raisins and vanilla, with fine spice and a hint of oak. The palate is soft, with caramel, dark fruit, nuts and sweet spices. The finish runs medium to long, with sherry, vanilla and oak spice.
