Akashi White Oak is a Japanese single malt in a 50cl bottle, bottled at 46%.
It is a blend of malts aged 7, 5 and 4 years, drawn from three types of cask: Spanish cherry oak, American oak and Bourbon oak.
The flavour is rich and malty with a supple, fruited character. It is full-bodied, with spice, a pleasant bitterness and a peat-like note, along with a hint of aniseed and candied ginger. The finish is smoky, with some tannin.
