A Bas-Armagnac XO built around fresh fruit and enough wood to give structure. It blends Ugni Blanc, Colombard and Baco, with the eaux-de-vie aged for a minimum of 10 years exclusively in French oak. The spirit is distilled in a gas-heated Armagnac still.
The name honours Abel Labat, great-grandfather of the founder Simon Vignau, who made Armagnac in the Landes in the mid-twentieth century.
The colour is golden copper. Peach, nectarine and apricot lead on the nose, followed by gingerbread, Bourbon vanilla and toasted notes. The palate is soft at 42% vol, with ripe white fruit, juicy apricot and pepper, and structured by wood.
