Alessio Vermouth di Torino Rosso is an Italian sweet vermouth made in Piedmont, following the traditions of Vermouth di Torino. It is built on a base of Piedmontese wine, fortified and infused with more than 25 herbs, roots and spices, including both Grande and Petite Wormwood, in the manner of late-19th-century recipes.
On the nose it is aromatic, with dark herbs, citrus peel, liquorice root and baking spices over red fruit and caramelised wine. The palate is rich and bittersweet, with herbal depth, dark chocolate, orange zest and botanical spice. The finish is long, with light bitterness, citrus oils and lingering herbs.
