Amador Double Barrel Cabernet Finish is a small batch bourbon from Amador Whiskey Co. It has a mash bill of 72% corn and a low rye content, and spends three years in new charred American oak barrels.
A second maturation of 9 to 12 months takes place in Napa Valley, in medium toast French oak barrels that previously held Napa Cabernet Sauvignon. This gives a copper brown colour with a cabernet red hue and a silky mouthfeel.
The tasting notes describe vanilla and toast, then crème brûlée, ending in hints of spice in a long, complex finish.
