Amaro Nonino Quintessentia Riserva (75cl, 33%)

Amaro Nonino Quintessentia Riserva is an Italian amaro aged for more than 24 months in oak barriques and small casks. It returns to the way Antonio Nonino kept his Amaro Carnia, in small wooden casks. It is aged twice: the Nonino grape distillate, UE, rests for at least 12 months before the whole amaro is aged. The ageing takes place in a dedicated cellar, under seal and customs supervision. The nose opens with autumn brushwood and moss, then raisins and passito, with balsamic scents, flamed orange and caramelised vanilla. Rhubarb bitterness is balanced by those balsamic notes, and the length is persistent.
