Amaro Nonino Quintessentia is an Italian amaro in a 75cl bottle, made by the Nonino family, who have distilled since 1897. It is an infusion of mountain herbs with a portion of UE, Nonino's grape distillate aged in barriques.
The recipe goes back to Antonio Nonino. It is considered a bitter, with hints of spice, liquorice and herbs, and has a strong fragrance of mountain herbs.
In the glass it is tawny and bright. It is mellow and bittersweet, with caramel and vanilla, allspice and bitter orange.
