An Iconic Speyside 2011 10 Year Old – The Octave (Duncan Taylor)

This is a single cask Speyside single malt from Duncan Taylor's Octave Series, distilled in 2011 at a distillery that is not named and bottled in 2021 after 10 years of maturation. After its first maturation in oak casks, the whisky was finished in a small octave cask. Octave casks are much smaller than traditional ones, which brings the spirit into closer contact with the wood. Just 86 bottles were produced. The result is described as a well-balanced Speyside malt with richness, depth and structure.
