Ancient Age is a Kentucky straight bourbon of 40% strength, in a 750ml bottle. It is made at the Buffalo Trace Distillery in Frankfort, from corn, rye and barley malt.
The brand was introduced in 1946 by Schenley at the distillery then known as George T. Stagg. It is now owned by Age International, while the distillery itself belongs to Sazerac.
The nose is corn and caramel. On the palate come caramel, toffee and vanilla with a hint of spice, and the finish is lingering, with toffee and citrus.
