anCnoc 18 Year Old is a Highland single malt from the Knockdhu Distillery, founded in 1894. The name comes from Knock Hill, called anCnoc in Gaelic, whose spring water is used in making the whisky.
It matures in Spanish ex-sherry oak and American ex-bourbon oak casks, and is bottled at 46% without chill-filtration or added colour.
The nose brings spice and the sweetness of dried fruit, with white chocolate, orange and leather. The palate offers spice, fruit cake and candied lemon. The finish carries caramel, honey and vanilla, starting peppery and ending soft and sweet.
