Angel's Envy – Cellar Collection Ice Cider Finished Rye (75cl)

This is a Kentucky straight rye from Angel's Envy, released in limited numbers as part of its experimental Cellar Collection and sold in a 75cl bottle. The rye is finished in French oak casks that previously held ice cider from Eden Specialty Ciders in Vermont. That cider was made from late-season Northern Spy apples pressed in 2018 and concentrated during the Vermont winter. The finish adds autumn spice and orchard-fruit sweetness to the spicy grain of the rye. The nose offers baked apple, autumn spice and vanilla over rye grain. On the palate, rye spice meets apple sweetness, caramel and oak, and the finish is warm and spiced with lingering orchard fruit.
