Angel's Envy Kentucky Straight Bourbon is a port-finished bourbon bottled at 43.3% ABV in a 750ml bottle. After the bourbon is selected, it is finished in ruby port wine barrels. It was created by Lincoln Henderson, a former Brown-Forman master distiller, who founded Angel's Envy with his son Wes in 2011 and died in 2013.
The name refers to the angel's share, the part of the whiskey that evaporates during ageing.
The nose brings ripe berry fruits, candied tangerine, light toffee and maple syrup. The palate is richly textured and silky, with the berry sweetness of the port finish alongside vanilla and caramel. The finish is long and well-rounded, with lingering maple and fruit warmth.
