Angel's Envy – Port Finished Cask Strength 2026 (58.9%)

This is the 15th edition of Angel's Envy Cask Strength, a Kentucky straight bourbon from Louisville, bottled at 58.9% (117.8 proof). The 2026 release came out on 17 April 2026, in spring rather than the usual autumn. It is a blend of bourbons distilled between 2014 and 2019, made on a Solera-inspired approach. About 37% is earlier cask-strength releases from 2023, 2024 and 2025, re-casked and matured for up to 3.5 years in Ruby Port barrels. The colour is rich amber with ruby reflections. The nose has cherry cordial, strawberry cheesecake and salted caramel, then spiced oak and vanilla. The palate is full-bodied and velvety, with apple cider, red wine and chocolate ganache. The finish is long, with citrus preserves, dark chocolate and blackberry jam, ending dry and tannic.
