Angel's Envy – Private Selection Single Barrel Bourbon Port Finish (75cl, 55%)

Angel's Envy Private Selection Single Barrel is a Kentucky straight bourbon aged in new charred American oak, then finished for three to six months in a single ruby Port wine barrel from the Douro in Portugal. It is bottled at 55% from an individual barrel, the highest strength at which Angel's Envy bottles its single barrels, and is made from 72 percent corn, 18 percent rye and 10 percent malted barley. The nose is described as vanilla, maple syrup, ripe fruit and toasted oak. The palate brings caramel, dark cherry, honey, vanilla, brown sugar and baking spice with a mulled wine sweetness, and the finish is smooth and warming, with lingering Port sweetness and oak.
