Angel's Envy Triple Oak is a Kentucky straight bourbon distilled in Louisville, bottled at 92 proof (46%). The mash bill is 72% corn, 18% rye and 10% malted barley. Master Distiller Owen Martin created it as the first permanent addition to the brand's Signature Series in more than ten years.
The bourbon is aged first in new American white oak barrels, then a blend of bourbons is finished in three casks: Hungarian oak, Chinkapin oak from Kentucky and French oak from France.
Ripe apricot and toasted oak lead the nose, with honeysuckle, dry leather and pipe tobacco. The palate is full, with baking spices, brioche and vanilla custard, and the finish is long and dry, with nutmeg, black pepper and brown sugar.
