Archie Rose Australian Original Whisky (75cl, 40%)

Australian Original is an all-malt whisky from Archie Rose Distilling Co., which opened in Sydney in 2014. It marries two of the distillery's core whiskies: the Straight Rye Malt, made from Australian-grown rye malted in New South Wales, and the Single Malt, made with six different Australian barley malts. Each is fermented, distilled and matured separately before blending. The whisky is matured in European and American oak and bottled at 40% ABV, in a flask-shaped bottle of textured glass redesigned with co-owner Chris Hemsworth. Aromas of vanilla, banana and floral Sauvignon Blanc lead to a sweet, well-balanced palate with lingering fruit.
