An Australian single malt from Starward, and its first release using fresh Limousin oak French Cognac casks. The whisky spent up to 12 months in those casks. It is bottled at 48% ABV in a 70cl bottle, non-chill filtered and in its natural colour.
The nose combines fresh summer berries, orchard fruits, cinnamon sticks, chewy jersey caramels and Madagascan vanilla bean. On the palate are sugared almonds and mandarin, velvety milk chocolate and a touch of gingerbread. The finish is rounded and sweet, with baked tropical fruits, thick cream, chestnuts and coconut.
