Ardbeg 10 Years Old is a single malt from Islay, Scotland, in a 70cl bottle at 46% ABV.
It opens with peat alongside tangy lemon and lime, black pepper and cinnamon-spiced toffee. Brine follows, with buttermilk, ripe banana and currants.
Smoke builds gradually, bringing cappuccino and toasted marshmallow. It then deepens into dry espresso, liquorice root and tarry smoke, leaving chewy peat oils.
