A 10-year-old Ardbeg known as 'Ten', bottled at 46% ABV in a one-litre bottle and dating from the 2000s, around 2002. The colour is pale white wine. The nose offers sharp, chiselled peat smoke, lemon rind in brine, smoky grist and wort, and yeasty tang. The palate is deep and fat, with tar, seawater, tarred rope, iodine and wet pebbles, over mineral salts and softer, slightly herbal peat smoke. Preserved lemons appear too. The finish is long, salty and tarry, full of gutsy peat smoke.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
