Ardbeg – 19 Year Old Traigh Bhan Batch 3 (46.2%)

Ardbeg 19 Year Old Traigh Bhan Batch 3 is the third release in an annual series named after Traigh Bhan, the Islay beach known as the "Singing Sands". It was matured for 19 years in American oak bourbon casks and a slightly higher proportion of Oloroso sherry casks, and is bottled at 46.2% ABV. Tasting notes describe sweet smoke, herbal menthol, sea spray and gentle oak on the nose. The palate has peat smoke, dark fruit, warming spice, aniseed and maritime salinity, with hints of rich fudge and savoury oak, leading to a long, smoky finish.
