Ardbeg – 25 Year Old Islay Single Malt Scotch Whisky

Ardbeg 25 Year Old is an Islay single malt bottled from casks that were filled during some of the darkest days of the distillery. Its colour is a bright amber. The nose combines smoked cream, peppermint and toffee with Ardbeg's usual fennel, pine resin, distant earthy bonfires, banana and tropical fruit, and candle wax. The palate opens with a vibrant peppery feel, then lemon sorbet sweetness with candied apple, pear and orange, carbolic soap, tar, creamy caramel, aniseed and chilli. The finish is long and soft, with cream, fudge and delicate antiseptic notes.
