An Oa is an Ardbeg single malt bottled at 46.6% ABV and non-chill filtered.
Its rounded character comes from time in a purpose-built oak Gathering Vat, where whiskies from several cask types are brought together. These include sweet Pedro Ximenez, spicy virgin charred oak and intense ex-bourbon casks, among others.
The result is smoky power softened by a smooth sweetness.
