Ardbeg Anamorphic is an Islay single malt made with a change to the casks: the cask heads were removed to expose more wood during toasting.
The aim was to temper the briny overtones and bring out a hidden chocolatey sweetness, with sensations of mocha. The result is a whisky that moves between four key elements: sweet, smoky, herbal and spicy, all merging together.
