Ardbeg Anthology is a 13-year-old Islay single malt, a limited edition in a 70cl bottle at 46% ABV. It marries whisky matured in sweet Sauternes wine casks with classic Ardbeg aged in ex-bourbon casks.
First imagined as a flight of fantasy, it aims for a balance between sweetness and smoke.
It is described as having smoked lemon peel and balsamic vinegar, followed by fresh apricots and tarry rope.
