Ardbeg Anthology The Harpy's Tale is a 13-year-old Islay single malt bottled at 46% ABV. It is the first release of its kind from the distillery, named after the harpies said to haunt Islay, the winged female spirits of death in Greek myth.
The whisky matured for 13 years in Sauternes wine casks, setting Ardbeg's full, smoky character against the sweetness of the wine.
The nose is markedly oily, with extra virgin olive oil, sweet briar wood, coriander, sage and smoked lemon peel. The palate is soft and mouth-coating, with sweet smoke, syrup, aniseed and smoked apricots. The finish is sweet and smoky, with cumin and cardamom.

Very oily, with olive oil, sweet briar wood, coriander, sage and smoked lemon peel; with water, linseed oil, carbolic soap and a hint of crème brûlée
Soft, oily and mouth-coating, with sweet smoke, oak moss, syrup, aniseed, smoked apricots and eucalyptus oil
