Ardbeg – Dolce (70cl, 47.8%)

Ardbeg Dolce is a limited edition from the Islay distillery, released on the final Saturday of the Fèis Ìle festival. It takes its name from a link between two islands: Islay, windswept and shaped by the Atlantic, and Sicily, with its warm Mediterranean sunshine. The whisky is a marriage of spirit matured in Sicilian Marsala wine casks and in American oak ex-bourbon barrels. It is bottled at 47.8% in a 70cl bottle, and joins Ardbeg's Islay peat smoke with the rich, fruity character of the Marsala casks. It is described as sweet with apricot, marmalade and dark chocolate, alongside toasted nuts and smoked applewood.
