Ardbeg – Drum Committee Release (70cl)

An Islay single malt from Ardbeg, released for Ardbeg Day as a Committee bottling. It comes in a 70cl bottle and carries no age statement. The whisky was matured in ex-bourbon casks and then finished in rum casks, an unusual step for a distillery known for peat. It was bottled at a higher strength than the standard Ardbeg Drum. Tasting notes describe bonfire smoke, grilled pineapple, banana, vanilla fudge and coastal salinity.
