Eureka. Is an Islay single malt released for the 25th anniversary of the Ardbeg Committee, bottled at 52.2% ABV in a 70cl bottle. It came out of an Ardbeg Committee tasting experiment called Operation Smokescreen.
The whisky combines spirit matured in Pedro Ximénez sherry casks with roasted malt spirit matured in bourbon casks.
The nose offers apple and cherry with roasted coffee and peat smoke. The palate is rich with fruit, nutty caramel and raisin, and the finish brings dark toffee and bonfire embers.
