Ardbeg Grooves is the Committee Release made for Ardbeg Day 2018, which ran under the motto 'Peat & Love'. It is an experimental Islay single malt matured in former wine casks that were heavily charred.
The charring cut deep grooves into the wood, increasing the contact between spirit and oak. The result is a bold, smoky and spicy aroma, with Ardbeg's peat smoke joined by spice. It is bottled at 51.6% ABV.
